Almost everyone has heard of Harvard, either in movies or in real life. It is one of the most prestigious universities in the United States of America. It is also known for its expensive tuition and the breath taking campus. However, Harvard College and Harvard University are two different things. It was established in by the Massachusetts legislature.

Harvard is the oldest institution of higher learning in the US. But the legacy of Radcliffe College is not simply coeducation at Harvard; it is the recognition that universities will always be greater when they draw wisdom and talent from the widest possible pool.

Among the many distinguished schools of Harvard, the Institute is unique: interdisciplinary by design and animated by a legacy of promoting inclusion. As president, I have come to appreciate even more the role Radcliffe plays in attracting great scholars to Harvard.
